South-west of Samer, there is the area of Tingry, located for one part in the plains and for the other part on the hills, limits of the Boulogne’s pit. It is a wooded countryside, like the old Samer.
At the feudal age, it was one of the four castles of Boulogne area. Nowadays, it only remains the layout of the castle (XI century) taken down stone by stone by the village residents to build their own houses. It was razed and destroyed in 1320, further to a rebellion.
You can discover there XIX century St Pierre’s Church and superb manors, among them “ La Ferme du Château Rouge”, “Le Château Gris”, the VII century manor of “Haye d’Incourt”, an old protestant temple.
There are fishing ponds in Tingry too, the ponds of “Gloriette”, where many families like to meet. The hikers could discover the nice path of the Blanche Jument.
